winter break usually starts mid Dec.till mid Jan
summer break starts at the end of may till...first week of Sept, i would say
well..master, it depends on the major, i am a business major, so it usually lasts for 2 yrs, but some programs can be finished in 1 yr.
it really doesnt matter how long the program will be, if u can finish all the credits earilier, you can graudate~that is it~

well, i should say i was a student. i am working right now.
my answer above is talking about the master program, i dont really know the undergrads or high school. i assume that they have pretty much the same break as master programs do.
you better find an internship here instead of going back to china, which will help you finding a job in the future. Recruitors always like your experience here.
talking about the living cost...hmmm...it really depends on the location of your school. price level varies from city to city and in general, staying in east coast may costs less than west..well, of course, if u choose the school in the central, u may save money on ur living.
if u want an average number, i would say around 15,000 to 20,000, and please remember!thats the minimum.
