(CNN iReport, Shanhgai, China)A video clip documenting a juvenile school girl bullying a peer student has triggered another outburst of controversy among wired citizens in urban Shanghai, China’s leading metropolitan center and economic hub.

In KDS Life Forum, a local website well-known for bolstering parochialism and anti-communism, myriad netizens were appalled by the brutality and arrogance exhibited by a high-school-aged female student. Throughout this 5-min video clip, likely to be cast in a downtown neighborhood, the girl resorts every possible means in beating and scoffing at another girl, with the support of a company of 6 other adolescents.

Many people argue that too much parental cosset and lack of concern for others are two major causes for the negligence and irresponsibility among the spoiled generation. Reckless behavior as such are often berated by those older youth, or post-80s’ group, who claim to be the mainstream of the Chinese society and on the opposite of their younger partners.
