Comparing the F50 specs to the F100's I noticed that the top shutter for the F100 is only 1/1500s and the F50's is 1/2000s (quite a difference IMO) -but- not to come off completely negative because in all fairness the F100 may still be a good camera but the coveted 'Ultimate Compact' position is quickly fading IMO... here's (my) revised list of missing features/or downgrades (feel free to add some or comment):
- slower top shutter (as mentioned)
- no A/S modes (but a 'fake' M mode for ISO/EC/F adjustment)
- slower (but wider/longer) f/3.3-5.1 lens (F50 f/2.8-5.1 but only 3x)
- no AUTO400 (ISO setting)
- no mode wheel
- no dedicated EC/EV button
- TTL 64-zones metering -vs- F50's TTL 256-zone metering
- overall less attractive/user friendly rear panel (IMO maybe not yours)
- possible higher minimum macro focus distance??? (according to DPr's specs it's hard to tell)
- no live histogram/or during playback
- still no exposure bracketing
- still no dedicated ISO button
好像DSLR的备机,有较强的手动功能是必须的,不然暗光和特殊场景下无法出效果
